Best known for her roles in "The Bishop's Wife" with
Cary Grant, her Academy Award
winning performance in "The Farmer's Daughter", and her Academy
Award nominated performance in "Come to the Stable". Starred with
William Holden and Robert
Mitchum in "Rachel and the Stranger". She was married three times,
and had two sons to one of her husbands, but also had a daughter to
Clarke Gable.
